From Eindhoven to the studio
Eindhoven is approximately one hundred and ten kilometers from the studio — 45 minutes by car, more than an hour by train with a change in Utrecht.
For that distance, sending is easiest. Through the shipping service you will receive a sturdy watch box and a shipping label, and the watch will be insured there and back.
In any case, work on vintage watches takes several weeks, so the day's mail is hardly noticeable.
What happens to your watch
Every watch begins with an investigation. We open the case, look at the movement under the microscope and determine what is needed. Only then will you receive a quote — nothing will be done that you haven't said yes to.
During a service, the timepiece is completely disassembled, cleaned, re-oiled and adjusted. Worn parts are replaced or, in the case of older watches for which no longer available, they are custom made. The case is then closed and the watch is tested, including for water resistance.

Is shipping common?
Yes. Much of the work comes from all over the country by post. You follow the repair online and you will be notified as soon as the watch has arrived.
Is my watch insured during shipping?
Yes. You will receive a sturdy watch box and a shipping label; the watch is insured against loss and damage up to 5000 euros, and a higher insurance value is possible on request. Everything is on the Shipping Service page.
How long does it take?
That depends on what is needed and the parts. A service usually takes several weeks; a restoration that requires parts to be made, longer. You will receive an indication once the investigation has been completed, and you can track the status of your repair online.
