Horlogemaker voor Utrecht

Directly over the Gooilijn, or insured by post. Two ways to get your watch into the workshop.

From Utrecht to the studio

Utrecht ligt ruim dertig kilometer van Weesp — met de auto een klein half uur over de A2 en de A1.

By train you travel over the Gooilijn, via Hilversum, directly from Utrecht Central to Weesp station. The studio is located on Stationsweg.

If you prefer not to travel, you can send the watch insured with the shipping service.

What happens to your watch

Every watch begins with an investigation. We open the case, look at the movement under the microscope and determine what is needed. Only then will you receive a quote — nothing will be done that you haven't said yes to.

During a service, the timepiece is completely disassembled, cleaned, re-oiled and adjusted. Worn parts are replaced or, in the case of older watches for which no longer available, they are custom made. The case is then closed and the watch is tested, including for water resistance.

The complete working method can be found on the Working Method page, and the rates can be found on Rates.

Frequently asked questions

Can I come by or do I have to send it?

Both are possible. Visits are by appointment, so that there is time to view the watch together; Shipping is done with an insured box that will be sent to your home.

How long does it take?

That depends on what is needed and the parts. A service usually takes several weeks; a restoration that requires parts to be made, longer. You will receive an indication once the investigation has been completed, and you can track the status of your repair online.

Is my watch insured during shipping?

Yes. You will receive a sturdy watch box and a shipping label; the watch is insured against loss and damage up to 5000 euros, and a higher insurance value is possible on request. Everything is on the Shipping Service page.
