Watchmaker for Rotterdam
Eighty kilometers, and yet in one pair of hands: the watch travels insured, you stay at home.
From Rotterdam to the studio
Rotterdam is more than eighty kilometers from Weesp. By car it is about an hour, by train an hour and fifteen minutes with a transfer.
Most customers from Rotterdam therefore send their watches. With the shipping service you will receive a sturdy watch box with a shipping label; the watch is insured against loss and damage there and back.
You can of course also visit us by appointment.
What happens to your watch
Elk horloge begint met een onderzoek. We openen de kast, bekijken het uurwerk onder de microscoop en stellen vast wat er nodig is. Pas daarna krijg je een offerte — er wordt niets gedaan waar je geen ja op hebt gezegd.
During a service, the timepiece is completely disassembled, cleaned, re-oiled and adjusted. Worn parts are replaced or, in the case of older watches for which no longer available, they are custom made. The case is then closed and the watch is tested, including for water resistance.
De volledige werkwijze staat op de pagina Werkwijze, en de tarieven vind je op Tarieven.
Veelgestelde vragen
Should I come to Weesp?
No. The watch can be insured by post, in a box that will be sent to your home. You can visit by appointment.
Is my watch insured during shipping?
Yes. You will receive a sturdy watch box and a shipping label; the watch is insured against loss and damage up to 5000 euros, and a higher insurance value is possible on request. Everything is on the Shipping Service page.
How long does it take?
That depends on what is needed and the parts. A service usually takes several weeks; a restoration that requires parts to be made, longer. You will receive an indication once the investigation has been completed, and you can track the status of your repair online.
