From Almere to the workshop
Almere and Weesp are about fifteen kilometers apart. By car that is a quarter of an hour along the A1 and the A6.
By train, the sprinter runs along the Flevolijn directly from Almere to Weesp station, with no change. The workshop is on the Stationsweg.
It can be done without travelling at all: with the shipping service the watch never leaves your house.
What happens to your watch
Every watch starts with an assessment. We open the case, examine the movement under the microscope and establish what it needs. Only then do you get a quote — nothing is done that you have not said yes to.
In a service the movement is completely disassembled, cleaned, re-oiled and regulated. Worn parts are replaced or, on older watches for which nothing is available any more, made to measure. The case is then closed and the watch is tested, water resistance included.

Frequently asked questions
Can I bring my watch in?
Yes, by appointment. The workshop is not a shop, so an appointment makes sure there is time to look at the watch together. Get in touch through the contact page, or register your watch first.
How long does it take?
It depends on what is needed and on the parts. A service usually takes a few weeks; a restoration that needs parts made takes longer. You get an indication as soon as the assessment is done, and you can follow the status of your repair online.
Do you also do batteries and watch crystals?
Yes. Smaller jobs — a battery, a new crystal, a strap — can usually be done quickly. The rates for those are on the Rates page.
