From Utrecht to the workshop
Utrecht is a little over thirty kilometers from Weesp — by car just under half an hour along the A2 and the A1.
By train you go along the Gooilijn, via Hilversum, straight from Utrecht Centraal to Weesp station. The workshop is on the Stationsweg.

What happens to your watch
Every watch starts with an assessment. We open the case, examine the movement under the microscope and establish what it needs. Only then do you get a quote — nothing is done that you have not said yes to.
In a service the movement is completely disassembled, cleaned, re-oiled and regulated. Worn parts are replaced or, on older watches for which nothing is available any more, made to measure. The case is then closed and the watch is tested, water resistance included.

Frequently asked questions
Can I come in, or do I have to post it?
Either works. Visits are by appointment, so there is time to look at the watch together; posting it is done with an insured watch box that we send to your door.
How long does it take?
It depends on what is needed and on the parts. A service usually takes a few weeks; a restoration that needs parts made takes longer. You get an indication as soon as the assessment is done, and you can follow the status of your repair online.
Is my watch insured while it is in the post?
Yes. We send you a sturdy watch box and a shipping label; the watch is insured both ways against loss and damage up to 5000 euros, and a higher insured value is available on request. It is all on the Shipping service page.
