From Eindhoven to the workshop
Eindhoven is about a hundred and ten kilometres from the workshop — an hour and a quarter by car, a little over an hour by train with a change at Utrecht.
Over that distance sending it in is simplest. Through the shipping service a sturdy watch box and a shipping label are sent to you, and the watch is insured both ways.
Work on vintage watches takes several weeks in any case, so the day it spends in the post barely registers.
What happens to your watch
Every watch starts with an assessment. We open the case, examine the movement under the microscope and establish what it needs. Only then do you get a quote — nothing is done that you have not said yes to.
In a service the movement is completely disassembled, cleaned, re-oiled and regulated. Worn parts are replaced or, on older watches for which nothing is available any more, made to measure. The case is then closed and the watch is tested, water resistance included.

Is sending it in the usual thing?
Yes. A good part of the work arrives by post from all over the country. You follow the repair online, and you hear from us as soon as the watch arrives.
Is my watch insured while it is in the post?
Yes. We send you a sturdy watch box and a shipping label; the watch is insured both ways against loss and damage up to 5000 euros, and a higher insured value is available on request. It is all on the Shipping service page.
How long does it take?
It depends on what is needed and on the parts. A service usually takes a few weeks; a restoration that needs parts made takes longer. You get an indication as soon as the assessment is done, and you can follow the status of your repair online.
